How I Built A PRINT-ON-DEMAND Business In 6 Months

Print-on-demand is a new business model that allows business owners to sell clothing without having inventory. When you get an order from a customer, the order gets sent to the print-on-demand supplier and they send the product for you to your customer. This allows business owners to not risk losing money as they will only be paying for the printing once they get a sale. So basically, a lot of entrepreneurs can try this business and see what they can do with it without losing any money. As a print-on-demand business owner myself, I have used several techniques that helped me grow my business to 200 customers.

  1. First of all, choose a product category that you are interested in and that has a target market such as phone cases, clothing, activewear, etc.
  2. Determine your print-on-demand supplier: Personally, I use Printful and I am very satisfied.
  3. Set up your online store: I use Shopify Starter Plan and pay 5 dollars a month.
  4. Design your products: Create designs for your products, or hire a graphic designer to help. I design my own products since I am interested in art and graphic design.
  5. Upload your designs: Upload your designs to the print-on-demand provider’s website.
  6. Promote your store: Use methods such as Google Ads, Instagram Ads, Influencer Ads, and Affiliate Marketing to increase your customers and earn more revenue.
  7. Process orders: When an order is placed, the print-on-demand provider will print, package, and ship the product directly to the customer. Printful is especially very good with this as they ship immediately
  8. Monitor sales and customer feedback: Regularly check your sales and customer feedback to make any necessary adjustments to your product offerings and marketing strategies. Data analysis is very important to determine a growth strategy for your brand.
  9. Repeat the process: Continuously add new designs and products to your store to keep it fresh and attractive to customers. This will attract more customers and in addition to that, old customers will return back to your store to check for new products.
